I will never leave the SLFP - CBK

Colombo (News 1st) - Speaking at an event in Colombo today former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge reiterated that she would never join the United National Party. She noted that if the SLFP is the party of the people then it's leaders cannot be corrupt, steal from the people or simply murder people for criticizing them. She noted that the party will never be able to move forward with such people. The former president stated that over the past 4 months there was an organized effort to remove her from the party by purposely leaving her out of meetings and rallies. She noted that cannot be easily forced out and stated that she would remain in the party even if everyone else abandons it.
