COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Presidential Task Force on Prevention of Chronic Kidney disease stated that 26,652 people suffering from the disease were identified through a series of tests conducted. The task force says that a total of 851,000 people from over 11 districts were tested for Chronic Kidney disease.
Meanwhile, the task force has implemented 521 projects in 10 districts to provide clean drinking water to areas with a high tendency for kidney diseases. Over 1.3 million people currently are benefitted through these projects.
