Hot weather advisory for several provinces: Extreme caution must be exercised

Colombo (News 1st): The Department of Meteorology issued a heat weather advisory for tomorrow (March 7). The department noted that 'Extreme Caution' level is expected in most part of the Nothern, North-Central and Eastern provinces and Puttalam District tomorrow. The Heat Index Forecast issued by the Department Of Meteorology is as follows, This is calculated by using relative humidity and maximum temperature. The department notes that the effect of the heat index on the human body is mentioned in the above table and it is prepared on the advice of the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine.
