Bolivian national arrested: Rs. 75 million worth cocaine smuggled

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A Bolivian national has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake while attempting to smuggle about 5kg of cocaine into the country. Customs Media Spokesperson Sunil Jayaratna noted that the value of the cocaine exceeds Rs. 75 million. The suspect had traveled from Brazil to India and then arrived in the country via New Delhi. Jayaratne said that the 60-year-old suspect had concealed the stock of cocaine in his luggage.
