SLC media release: hiccup or cover-up?

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Cricket announced yesterday that the ICC Board Meeting was attended by Thilanga Sumathipala, Shammi de Silva and Mohan Silva. When News 1st spoke to the head of the ICC media unit Claire Furlong, she stated that only Shammi Silva had attended the meeting. Following the inquiry made by us, Sri Lanka Cricket issued another media release today (March 4). The SLC says in today's media release that the previous media release was erroneous and that Shammi Silva attended the Board Meeting as the President of SLC. The communique further adds that Thilanga Sumathipala attended 'other discussions'. Only formally elected officials from their respective countries can attend the formal talks held with the ICC. Who provided wrong information for the media release issued by Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday? Can Thilanga Sumathipala attend a board meeting of the ICC? Who is trying to deceive the people of this country by hiding the truth?
