Petition calls for investigation into the PM's actions

Colombo (News1st) - The presidential commission of inquiry, tasked with looking into irregularities in state institutions over the past four years, has received a petition calling for an investigation into Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. According to a spokesperson of the commission, the petition had been filed by a member of the Democratic Left Front. The petition had called for a investigation into the Prime Ministers actions in the bond scam. The commissions' spokesperson noted that the petition would be forwarded to the Chairman of the commission, retired Supreme Court Justice Upali Abeyratne and the rest of the commissioners before a decision is reached on the petition.
