Colombo (News 1st): The five HND students who were arrested and remanded during a protest staged opposite the Presidential Secretariat were released on bail today (March 1).

The students were released on two sureties of Rs. 100,000 each. Police arrested the five students under the charges of attempting to forcefully enter the Presidential Secretariat and causing injuries to several police officers on duty on the 27th of February.

The case was postponed to the 28th of June.
