Amal Perera and son remanded for another month

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Singer Amal Perera, his son Nadeemal Perera and the others who are currently under custody in Dubai has been remanded for a further month. The order was issued when they were produced before the Dubai court. Attorney-at-law Shabdika Wellappili appearing on behalf of the singer and his son stated that the reports confirming their usage of narcotics that was summoned by the police has still not been received. Singer Amal Perera and his son were arrested on February 5th in a hotel in Dubai along with the infamous drug kingpin Makandure Madush and several others while at a party. The arrested group includes 31 individuals out of which some are connected to various large scale crimes and drug trafficking.
