Colombo (News 1st): Southern Provincial Councilor Krishantha Pushpakumara was granted bail by the Galle Magistrates Court today (Feb 28).

He was granted bail on two sureties of Rs. 500,000 each and a cash bail of Rs. 25,000. The councilor was also ordered to appear before the Akmeemana Police on the last Sunday of every month between 9 AM to 12 PM. The case was postponed to the 30th of April.

The Councilor was arrested this morning after he surrendered to the Police through a lawyer. The councilor was arrested by the Akmeemana Police in connection to an allegation that he molested a 14-year-old girl.
