Consignment of Heroin valued at Rs.120mn seized in Kuliyapitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Officers of Police Narcotics Bureau arrested a 27-year-old suspect over the possession of 10 kg of heroin from Kuliyapitiya, last night (February 27). The stock of heroin is valued at Rs.120mn. Initially, one kilo of heroin was seized while the suspect was transporting it on a motorbike. Further interrogations led to another 9 kilos of heroin at his residence in Ambagahagedara. The Police Narcotics Bureau is continuing its investigations.
