President appoints committees to probe LNG power-plant and tabs

Colombo (News1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed a committee to review the tender process for the LNG Power plant in Kerawalapitiya. The committee was appointed during the cabinet meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena. The President had called for a report on the matter within a week. Ministers Patali Champika Ranawaka, Mailk Samarawickrama, Ravi karunanayake and Dr Harsha de Silva have been appointed as members of the committee. Meanwhile, the President appointed another committee to probe the proposed program to provide tabs to students. During the Cabinet meeting, a decision had been reached to implement the project in Grade A schools. The committee consists of Ministers Harin Fernando, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Eran Wickramaratne, and Ajith P. Perera.
