HND students protest at Lotus Road

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Tear gas and water cannons were fired at protesting HND students at the lotus round-about moments ago. Police stated that this manoeuvre was exercised following the violent behaviour that ensued after the discussions with the officials of the presidential secretariat. Police added that four police officers were injured as a result of the stones thrown at them by the students. Lotus road in Colombo was completely closed due to a protest march organized by HND students.
