Explosion in Polonnaruwa claims 10 year old life

Colombo (News 1st) - A 10-year-old student died in the Galkatidamana area in Pulastigama, Polonnaruwa when a thinner barrel exploded inside his residence. According to the Police, another 16 year old student suffered injuries in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at the Polonnaruwa hospital. The Police added that the 16-year-old had suffered serious injuries on one of his feet. The police believe that the explosion occurred when attempts were made to saw an empty thinner barrel.
