Colombo (News 1st): Minister of Buddha Sasana and Wayamba Development Gamini Jayawickrama Perera says that Attorney General’s advice has been sought regarding banning of private tuition classes on Sundays and Poya Days.
He further noted that MP John Amaratunga on behalf of the Catholic community, MP A.H.M Haleem representing Islam community, MP Mano Ganeshan representing the Hindu community and MP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam on behalf of Education have signed the proposal.
Minister Perera said the Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya has been informed of this.
