Ranjan must face disciplinary action if his allegations are false: Harin Fernando

Colombo (News 1st): Journalists questioned Minister Harin Fernando today (Feb 22), over a statement he made regarding state Minister Ranjan Ramanayaka. Minister Harin Fernando noted that the particular statement was made in his house, during a parliamentary group meeting. He said he told them they should all go and get blood tests. He added that he also told that various statements were being made to media in several places and that was an issue. Minister Fernando said the statements were made at his house and not in public. He noted that if State Minister Ranjan Ramanayaka responds to statements that he made at his house, Ranjan Ramanayaka is politically immature. He believed that Ranjan Ramanyaka's effort is 5000 percent excellent. He requested Ranjan to prove his allegations to the committee today, however, if he fails to do so, they will take disciplinary action against him. He pointed out that if politicians continue to make such controversial remarks to media, they will fail as a party someday.
