IGP and AG's appointments not ethical - President

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The appointments of the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General was not ethical. So stated President Sirisena addressing parliament today. At the time these appointments were made and deliberation carried out the President bemoaned the fact that representatives of civil society organizations were not involved in the process. He questioned if these organizations simply did not wish to be present or whether they were specifically excluded or even asked not to be present.
