Police OIC on drug raid injured by trap-gun

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A police officer who had engaged in a drug raid was injured when he tripped a trap gun. The incident occurred in the Periyakulam area in Puttalam. The police believe that the trap had been set by drug racketeers. The injured police officer has been identified as the OIC of the Anamaduwa Police, Crime Prevention Unit. He is currently receiving treatment at the Puttalam hospital.
