Mahinda Rajapaksa opens Rs 70mn building for Veyangoda weekly fair

Colombo (News 1st): The new building of the Veyangoda weekly fair was vested with the public. Opposition leader Mahinda Rajapaksa participated at the event. The cost of the project is estimated at Rs. 70 million. The Chief Minister of the Western Province Isuru Devapriya and public representatives of the district were also present. Speaking at the event Mahinda Rajapaksa said that according to newspapers, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had said, "Tamil People need their freedom and their right to live and that is why we are drafting a new constitution. This is the constitution that Mahinda brought, I brought the same constitution that Mahinda brought." Mahinda Rajapaksa noted that he does not remember bringing in any constitution of this nature, however, if he brought something and if it was good then they could have supported it and then resolved the issue.
