Petition against the Prime Minister will be postponed indefinitely-Mahinda Yapa

COLOMBO (News 1st) -  MP Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena made the following remarks regarding the petition against the Prime Minister at an event held today(February 13). He noted that when the UNP faces an overwhelming argument, they to choose to postpone the debate. He said that this is mostly done by MP Sumanthiran who brings in a legal issue or any other matter to postpone the debate. He added that the debate on the petition against Ranil Wickramasinghe will also have the same fate. He stressed that the court case too will be postponed indefinitely. "This is how democracy is exercised in this country" he concluded.
