Unruly Police Officer interdicted

Colombo (News1st): The Police Officer who pulled out a weapon and behaved in an unruly manner in Nilpanagoda, Minuwangoda has been interdicted. Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that his behavior is unacceptable. Police Media spokesperson said that apart from legal action in courts, severe disciplinary measures will be taken against the officer. Visuals of how the police officer pulled out a weapon and behaved in an unruly manner at around 9 pm last Sunday (Feb 10), was captured on CCTV. The officer was produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate's Court and was released on bail of Rs 100,000. He will be produced before courts again on the April 3rd.
