COLOMBO (News 1st) - Reports claim investigations carried out by Dubai Police on infamous underworld leader and drug kingpin "Makandure Madush" have concluded.
It is still unclear when the underworld leader and his accomplices would be produced before a Dubai court.
"Makandure Madush", singer Amal Perera along with his son Nadeemal Perera and actor Ryan van Rooyen were among those arrested in Dubai last week.
Premaratne and several others have already departed to Dubai, to appear on behalf of Amal Perera and Nadeemal Perera.
Attorney at Law Udul Premarathne speaking to News 1st from Dubai said police investigations have confirmed eighteen people who were arrested in Dubai were under the influence of narcotics.
He added that none of the arrestees will face charges for distribution or possession of drugs and will only face charges for the usage of drugs.
