Colombo (News1st): A new house was handed over to Chamara Nuwan Dharmawardhana who excelled at national and international Judo competitions. This event was held under the auspices of Minister of Housing, Construction & Cultural Affairs Sajith Premadasa.
A house worth Rs. 3 million rupees at the Sayurapura housing complex, Moratuwa was handed over to him for the services rendered towards the country and the martial art of Judo.
Speaking at the event Deputy Leader of the UNP Minister Sajith Premadasa said they are hoping to create sporting villages for the talented sportspersons through the Kreeda-Gammana project. He added that the National Housing Development Authority founded by his father the late Ranasinghe Premadasa is celebrating its 40th anniversary and with that, they plan to provide houses for Sri Lankan sport stars in all 25 districts.
