Sri Lankan man murders his wife in Australia

Colombo (News 1st): The West Australian reported that a man has been charged over the murder of his Sri Lankan wife in Australia. The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Darshika Nilmini Kudaligama Withana. The alleged killer has been identified as Upendra Pathmasri Ihalahewa. The report noted that the murder took place aro around 9am on Sunday (Feb 3). The 44-year-old husband was remanded to a secure psychiatric facility on Monday (Feb 4) after being charged with murder. The charge was read to Ihalahewa during a brief court appearance but he was not required to enter a plea. He will appear in court again next week.
