Several areas including Colombo face power failure

COLOMBO (News1st) - The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy stated that several areas including Colombo are currently experiencing a power cut. Director of Media at the Ministry Sulkashana Jayawardene stated that the power shortage has been caused due to a fire which broke out this evening (January 31) at the Kelanitissa subgrid which caused a failure in the 132KW cable that supplies power towards Kolonnawa.
