Puttalam district garbage to be dumped at Aruwakkalu

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Megapolis and Western development says that Aruwakkalu garbage disposal site will be used to dispose of garbage collected from all local authorities in the Puttalam district. Secretary to the Ministry Nihal Rupasinghe said that the first phase of constructing the garbage disposal site has now been completed. Further, he said that garbage collected from the Colombo city limits will also be dumped to the Aruwakkalu garbage disposal site from the end of the year.
