Officers of SL Customs protest new Director-General appointment

Colombo (News1st): Sri Lanka Customs personnel have stepped away from all stations -excluding the Bandaranaike International Airport. This was done against the decision to appoint retired Navy officer – Rear Admiral Shamal Fernando as the Director-General of Customs.

The cabinet approval was granted yesterday for the replacement of current Customs Director General P. S. M. Charles.
