40 acres destroyed in Hatton forest fire

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The forest conservation office in Hatton notes that the wildfire that erupted last evening (January 29) has caused damage to almost 40 acres of land. The area affected by the fire is an area with many Pine trees. An officer of the forest conservation office noted that assistance of the Army has also been sought to contain the fire that is still continuing to spread.
