Two arrested with a revolver and ammunition

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two suspects aged 34 and 42 have been arrested from Karandeniya, Elpitiya for the possession of a locally manufactured revolver and a stock of ammunition. The Police said that the arrest was made following a raid conducted based on a tipoff. At the time of the arrest, the suspects were found to be in possession of a revolver and a 17 ammunition used for T56 firearms. The arrested individuals are residents of Karandeniya. They are due to be presented before the Elpitiya Magistrates Court today (January 29).
