MP Johnston Fernando acquitted from 2010 assets declaration case

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Minister Johnston Fernando was acquitted and released from the case filed against the failure to declare assets and liabilities while serving as a minister in 2010. Colombo Main Magistrate Lanka Jayarathne issued the order due to the failure of the prosecutors to prove the charges against the former minister. The Former Minister was acquitted and released from the first case from among the five cases filed by the bribery commission for the failure to declare his assets and liabilities from 2010 to 2015.
