Estate Workers will not sign the wage agreement

Colombo (News1st): The Joint Estate Workers Trade Union Confederation has announced that it will not sign the collective agreement on wages, which was to be signed today (Jan 28). On 25th of January, a decision was taken by the Estate owners Association, Estate workers Trade Union, the Minister of Plantation Industry and the Minister of Labor to increase the daily wage to Rs. 700.
