Colombo (News1st): Widows of security forces personnel and disabled war heroes will receive salaries for the lifetime on President Maithripala Sirisena’s orders and will not be limited to 55 age limit. President’s Media Division said the relevant steps will be taken during the next two months.

War heroes of the tri-forces who have been disabled while on duty, due to terrorist attacks or during active duty will receive the lifetime salary. This was revealed at a meeting held yesterday (Jan 25) at the Presidential Secretariat with the participation of security forces officials.
