2 arrested for posession of illegal firearms

Colombo (News1st) - Two individuals were arrested from the Baduraliya area for the possession of several unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The suspects were arrested following a raid conducted by officers of the Kalutara crimes division. The officers were able to take into custody a total of 5, 12 gauge shotguns and 5 rounds of ammunition. The arrested suspects are residents of Kalawana, Ratnapura and are aged 39 years and 27 years. The duo are to be produced before the Mathugama Magistrate court today.
