Jampatta shooting : Suspected clash between drug traffickers

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Police suspects that the shooting that occurred last evening (January 20) was the result of a clash between two groups of Kerala Ganja traffickers. Two unknown gunmen who arrived at the scene on a motorbike at around 6.45 pm yesterday had shot a person traveling in a three-wheeler. The victim, a 32-year-old resident of Colombo 13 was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital due to injuries. Police noted that the injured victim is attached to the underworld gangs "Krishna" and "Aaron". Four police teams have been deployed to investigate the shooting that occurred last evening in Jampatta, Colombo.
