COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Police has arrested three individuals for the possession of 4.5 kg of Kerala Ganja. The suspects were arrested based on a tip-off, on the Hirana Bridge in Panadura.

The consignment valued at Rs. 1.5 Mn was discovered from within two three-wheelers. The suspects aged 32, 34 and 38 years have reportedly been engaging in drug trafficking over a long period of time.

The suspects were imprisoned for 14 days after they were presented before the Panadura Magistrates Court.

Meanwhile, the two three-wheelers and the seized Ganja have been taken into police custody.
