President Sirisena celebrates his 4th year in presidency

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The 4th anniversary of President Maithripala Sirisena being sworn in as the Head of State is due to be celebrated today (January 08). The new town of Laggala will be handed over to the public in line with the celebrations. Additional Secretary to the President, Sarath Chandrasiri said that the Laggala town has state of the art facilities. An overnight pirith chanting ceremony also took place last night (January 07) at the President's office.
