COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Sri Lankan Navy arrested 4 Indian fishermen for illegal fishing in Sri Lankan territorial waters today (January 08).

The Navy confirmed that a trawler owned by the arrested fishermen was also seized in the Northern seas off the Delft Island.

The arrested fishermen are due to be handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries in Jaffna for further legal actions.
