3 rescued from burning building in Kandy

COLOMBO (News 1st) -  A fire erupted on the third and fourth storeys of a four-storey building located in Yatinuwara Street, Kandy. A child and two adults who were trapped in the flames were rescued through the joint efforts of the firefighters, the Kandy Police, and the Army. Dramatic footage captured through a mobile phone shows the moment when the victims escaped the burning building. The two adults were admitted to the Kandy Teaching hospital. The Police informed that the fire has now been completely contained. However, the cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
