Suspected dog killer released on bail

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The 38-year-old labourer who was arrested earlier today in relation to burning Charlie; a Labrador has been released. He was released on a surety bail of Rs. 5,000 when his case was taken up before the Negombo Magistrates Court. Charlie had been set on fire on the 31st of last month at a house in Koppara junction, Negombo. He had succumbed to his injuries after being treated at the hospital. The case is due to be taken up once again on the 14th of next month.
