President engages in inspection tour of SLFP headquarters

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena highlights the importance of taking forward the SLFP as a strong people's party. The head of state made these remarks following an inspection tour of the SLFP headquarters. Representatives of the SLFP's women organizations, youth organizations, lawyers association, graduates association, and the professionals association also met with the President at this occasion. The head of state also adviced the senior activists on facilitating the functions of the party headquarters. General Secretary of the party Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, Deputy leader Nimal Siripala, MPs Mahinda Amaraweera, Dayasiri Jayasekara, and Ranjith Siyambalapitiya were also present at the occasion.
