40 people arrested for bribery within the year

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Bribery commission notes that 40 suspects have been arrested for bribery related offences in over 35 raids conducted islandwide.
The Director of bribery commission (investigations) SSP Priyantha Chandrasiri said that out of the arrested that 36 of them are government officers.
He further added that the biggest case reported within the year is a case of obtaining a Rs. 20 Mn bribery.
