A risk of Dengue in Western and Northern Provinces

Colombo (News1st): Public Medical Consultant of Dengue Prevention Unit, Dr. Prashila Samaraweera said there is a risk of dengue spreading rapidly across the Western and Northern Provinces. She noted that the risk is due to the excessive rainfall experienced over the past few days. Dr. Samaraweera added that there is a high possibility of an increased number of patients being reported early next year. So far 48,000 dengue patients have been reported this year.
