Three arrested for posession of a firearm

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police have arrested three people in Ovitigama, Kuruvita following a spot inspection of the three-wheeler they were traveling in. Police officers who were on duty along the Lelgoda - Pohorabawa road found a repeater rifle with three rounds of ammo in their possession. The rifle, ammo and the three-wheeler were taken to Police custody. The arrested individuals who are 30, 31 and 32 years of age, are to be produced before the Ratnapura Magistrates Court today (December 24).
