"Do not bow down to irregularities" - President

Colombo (News1st) - Appointment letters were presented to the new Ministry secretaries by President Maithripala Sirisena this evening (Dec 22). Speaking to the newly appointed Secretaries, the president noted that no one would be coming forward to protect corrupt persons and urged them to do their best to fulfill the aspiration of the public by creating a better public sector. "Do not bow down to irregularities or anything wrong, do not be afraid, do the right thing. The people will provide the strength that we need." the President stated.
