Mannar mass grave samples to be sent to US laboratory

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Samples recovered from the Mannar Mass Grave are scheduled to be sent to a laboratory in the United States of America for carbon dating. The process is carried out under the strict supervision of the Mannar Magistrate. Professor Raj Somadeva and a team of experts supervised the recovery of three samples yesterday (December 18).  They are to be sent to the Beta Analytic Lab in the United States of America. Speaking to News 1st, Professor Raj Somadeva confirmed that 279 human skeletal remains were recovered from the site since May 2018.
