Detention orders for Bangladeshi heroin smuggler

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Court has granted police07-day detention order to interrogate the Bangladeshi woman who was arrested with a haul of heroin valued at Rs. 388 Million. At the time of her arrest, the Police Narcotics Bureau recovered a kilogram of heroin from her possession. Upon interrogation, the Police raided her rented-house in Ratmala and seized 31.32 kilograms of heroin which were packed in cake boxes. Investigations have revealed, the woman had provided heroin to a number of suspects who were arrested recently for peddling drugs. The suspect , had remained in the country on a tourist visa and peddled drugs for many years.
