Bangaladeshi national arrested with 32 kg of Heroin

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara confirmed this morning (December 16) that the Police Narcotic Bureau arrested a Bangladeshi woman with 32 kg of heroin. The foreign national was arrested from Dehiwela according to a tip-off received by the Police Narcotics Bureau. At the time of her arrest, the 23 year old foreign national had a kilogram of heroin in her possession. Following interrogations, the Police had searched her residence in Delgahawaththa, Rathmalana where they had discovered another 31kg of Heroin. The heroin was discovered stashed in cake boxes. Further investigations into the incident have commenced.
