Ranil Wickremesinghe to be sworn in as PM tomorrow

Colombo (News 1st) - After several chaotic weeks in the Sri Lankan political sphere, Leader of the UNP Ranil Wickremesinghe is set to once again take oaths as the Prime Minister of the country. MP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam during a media briefing at Temple Trees announced that Wickremesinghe will be sworn in tomorrow (Dec 16) at 10.30am. He noted that the new cabinet of ministers would be sworn in by Monday or Tuesday. When questioned about the post of Opposition Leader, the UNP General Secretary noted that it will be decided by Parliament when it reconvenes.
