Cricket-World Cup trophy 2019 unveiled for fans in Kolkata

Reuters - Officials at British High Commission and former India great Sourav Ganguly on Friday (December 14) unveiled the World Cup 2019 trophy for fans in cricket-mad country's eastern Kolkata city. The trophy arrived in India on November 30, the eighth stop on the international leg of the trophy tour. Kolkata is the third city where the trophy was displayed. Earlier it was showcased for fans based in western Mumbai and southern Bengaluru cities on December 02 and 08 respectively. Deputy British High Commissioner Bruce Bucknell hoped for an India v England final and backed the hosts to lift the coveted trophy. England will be hosting the ICC Men's cricket World Cup. It is scheduled to begin from May 30 and end on July 14 next year.
