Petition filed against former CJ Sarath N. Silva over contempt of court

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A petition has been filed against Former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva on charges of Contempt of Court. It was filed by three individuals including senior professor Chandra Gupta Thenuwara. The petition states that during an event held in Maradana on the 3rd of December the Former Chief Justice had made a statement insulting the supreme court of Sri Lanka.
