Veteran singer Upali Kannangara dies aged 67

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Veteran singer Upali Kannangara passed away today (December 12) while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo. Upali Kannangara aged 67 at the time of his death entered the music industry as a guitarist. He played a huge role in the music industry of Sri Lanka for many decades with songs such as "Parata Kittuwa", "Gele Ran Mala Dha Hada Wee," "Dumbara Mitiyawatha Paththe," " Iwasillak Naha Dakina Thura."
